My work is a unique hybrid contemporary line of furniture and sculpture. Influences come from the materials I use and the inspiration from life itself. Each piece is carefully designed and constructed to assume balance and harmony among its contrasting materials. Careful thought and creativity go into each piece from the inception of the design to its final form. I meld elements of urban, architectural and environmental design to create pieces of lasting beauty with a symbiotic combination of form and function. My work is derived from hardwoods, metal, and glass. Additionally, I use recycled objects and materials when appropriate for the piece. Each design features my self developed techniques, whether it is using ordinary materials enhanced with these processes or carving uncommon materials, resulting in innovative textures and finishes which bring beauty in an unexpected form.
